If you are searching for a Discipleship Bible School in Melbourne, Australia, or looking to grow deeper in your Christian faith, leadership, and purpose, this message is for you. At YWAM Lives and Tribes Melbourne, we are passionate about equipping young people through missions training, biblical teaching, and Christian discipleship to live with clarity, conviction, and global impact.
This blog shares the heart behind our Bible school experience, where students don’t just study Scripture—they encounter God personally, discover their calling, and grow in spiritual leadership. Whether you’re exploring a Christian gap year in Australia, looking for missions opportunities, or wanting to understand the Bible in a deeper way, this is an invitation to step into a transformational journey.

There are moments in life when you start asking deeper questions about your faith, your purpose, and what you truly believe. It’s easy to go through the motions, but at some point, you realize you want something more real, more personal.
I think as Christians, we should know what we believe and why we believe it. For that reason, our Father gave us His Word not just to read, but to study and understand. It holds all the answers we need, and more than that, it’s a book that truly changes lives.
That’s why opportunities like a discipleship Bible school are so special. It’s a place where you can come together with people who also want to study the Word, grow deeper in their faith, and get to know the Lord more personally. In just three months, you have the chance to read the Bible from beginning to end, which is something many people never get to experience.
During this time, you don’t just gain knowledge, you begin to understand God’s character and His nature on a deeper, more personal level. For me, it wasn’t only about knowing what others said about Him anymore, but about experiencing Him for myself and receiving personal revelation through the Holy Spirit.
Sometimes as Christians, we focus on just one verse or one chapter, and it can leave us confused or with an incomplete picture. But when you read the whole Bible, you begin to see how everything is connected from the very beginning, God had a plan. A redemptive plan to restore what was broken, to bring people back to Himself, and to show His love, grace, and faithfulness throughout every generation.
You start to see that the Bible isn’t just a collection of separate stories, but one continuous story of redemption of God pursuing His people again and again, even when they turn away. And through that, you begin to understand not only His heart, but also your place in that story.
If you feel like, in this season, God is calling you to know Him more deeply, this might be the place for you to truly know Him and to know His Word.
