There’s something beautiful about the early days of knowing Jesus.

Everything feels new. There’s a genuine hunger to learn more, a passion to know God, and an excitement to discover what it means to live with Him. At the same time, questions, doubts, and confusion begin to surface. And that’s normal—because every relationship starts with discovery.

The Second Season: When Faith Feels Like a Routine

After walking with Jesus for some time, something begins to change. The initial excitement starts to fade. Problems arise. The process feels endless. Promises feel delayed. And without realizing it, discouragement sets in.

You keep believing, you keep showing up, but deep down you're wondering:

“Is this all there is?”

The passion you once felt now seems distant. Routine takes over. Your faith, which once burned like fire, now feels like a small flicker struggling to stay alive.

The Third Season: When Your Relationship with God Feels Cold

And then you hit a deeper place.Your relationship with God no longer feels alive. You’ve heard all the sermons. You know what to expect.Everything feels repetitive. Predictable. Lifeless.

And then the thought creeps in:“Maybe I was better off before… when I didn’t have to follow rules or principles… when I could just live life my own way.”

This is one of the most common—and dangerous—struggles in the life of any committed believer. But it can be overcome. And the key is intentionality.

Real Faith Isn’t Perfect, but It’s Consistent

True faith doesn’t always feel like fire. It’s not always exciting.Real faith is choosing Jesus again and again—even when you don’t feel Him, even when you don’t understand.

Because life comes in seasons. And every relationship needs intention to grow.

If you’re walking through a season where your faith feels dry or stagnant, you’re not alone. And this is not the end.

The Key Is Intentionality

Faith doesn’t grow on its own. It needs to be cultivated. If you're in a season where everything feels like a routine or your heart feels distant from God, here are some practical ways to strengthen your walk:

1. Invest your time

Spend time developing your faith. Surround yourself with people who will encourage and strengthen you. Read your Bible. Start with short studies or devotionals. These will help you reflect on Scripture and find encouragement and direction in everyday situations.

2. Join a prayer or fellowship group

The people around you make a big difference. Faith grows stronger in community. Find a group where you can pray, share, and grow together. Be open to meeting new people. You are not meant to do this alone.

3. Connect with a local church

There is nothing more powerful than growing in community. The Church isn’t a building—it’s a family of people pursuing the same things you are: comfort, restoration, acceptance, hope, and growth. Being planted in a local church can be the difference between staying stuck or moving forward.

Today You Can Start Again

You’re not far. You’re not lost. You’re simply in a season. And in this season, God is still with you.

“Return to Me, and I will return to you,” says the Lord. (Malachi 3:7)

Be intentional. Say yes again. Give your faith another chance.

Your story isn’t over. God is still writing. And the best is yet to come.
