One of the things I love the most and never ceases to amaze me is seeing how far God takes us when we take steps of obedience in response to His call. Every act of faith and every small "yes" to God can lead us to places and experiences we never imagined.
In our training and discipleship schools, such as Lives and Tribes, we have witnessed hundreds of transformation stories. Our students not only see their own lives change but also experience a complete renewal of their perspective on the world. Knowing God and hearing His voice become the starting point for a life of impact in missions and evangelism.
However, before taking those first steps, it is common to face internal struggles and questions such as: Is God real? Can God use me? Am I ready to share the gospel? Can I teach others? Am I worthy of sharing the good news? These questions reflect our insecurities, but they are also an invitation to trust that God is the one who calls and equips.
I have always believed that the more we know God, the more He drives us to obedience. I cannot conceive a revelation of God without it provoking change, transformation, and movement. His voice challenges us, pushes us beyond our comfort zone, and invites us to be part of His eternal plan.
It is amazing to see how God works in those who have a willing heart. It is no surprise that those who say "Here I am, send me" are the ones who experience the greatest adventures with Him. God is not looking for perfection, but for willingness.
Lachlan, a DTS student, shares a bit of his experience and how his "yes" to God led him to a story of transformation he never imagined living...
“I have never preached the word of God before. I was terrified. As I stepped up to stand behind the pulpit I felt the Holy Spirit empower me and the words started flowing out of my mouth.
God is so faithful in every circumstance. Evangelising in a differnt country has impacted my life in such a powerful way.
Hearing peoples stories of how they made their way to the lord. Joe was in a boat that capsized during a storm. They were stranded at sea from Wednesday to Saturday morning ! He said the only way they would’ve been found was if Jesus lead the rescue team to them.. and he did !!
Hearing the supernatural faithfulness of God in peoples lives encourages me to keep on surrendering every area of my life to trust in him ! Seeing the gospel impact people’s lives daily on the streets of Suva lights a burning desire within me to keep on sharing the goodness of Jesus Christ !”
Your story could be next. Are you ready to say yes to God?
